Katastro

Hailing from the desert of Tempe, Arizona, the members of Katastro gather to create a unique sound, blending elements of rock, funk, blues and hip hop. Formed in 2007 by vocalist Andy Chaves, drummer Andrew Stravers and guitarist Tanner Riccio, later joined by bassist Ryan Weddle, Katastro has been gaining a lot of exposure while impressing their peers at the same time. Opening for national acts such as the 311, Bad Religion, Awolnation, Dirty Heads, New Politics, Method Man, Redman, Ghostface Killah, Tomorrows Bad Seeds, and Passafire, they continue to pull in their audience with their intriguing and entertaining live show.

In 2008 the band released an EP entitled “The Facts”. Followed by “Poking Holes In A Pattern” produced by Bob Hoag, which was released in late 2009. In October of 2011, Katastro released their 4th studio album entitled "Gentle Predator".

Katastro has gone on national tours with such acts as Tomorrows Bad Seeds, Passafire, and Pacific Dub. They recently relocated to southern california and are currently working on their next album.

Tyrone's Jacket

Tyrone's Jacket is an energy force. They formed in Los Angeles in the wake of a general shifting social consciousness effort. Their combination hip hop, funk, rock and reggae rhythms is just the long way of saying "They got their own sound." The trio (who also frequently play with a full band), have been blowing audiences away with their live performances over the past year, including a recent set at the 2017 Cali Roots Fest. They have also shared the bill with Rebelution, Iration, Nahko and Medicine for the People, and Jurassic 5. This Fall (Oct-Nov) they are going on tour opening up for the Dirty Heads and The Unlikely Candidate, and then in January (Jan-Feb) back on the road opening up for Iration and The Movement.

Each member of Tyrone's Jacket brings to the table their own unique flavor, influences and magic. Lead singer Knowaking (pronounced Noah King) is a natural born frontman. He looks like Bob Marley and sounds like 2Pac. Rapper/producer MUDLUX takes on a singer songwriter approach to go along with his hip hop influences, he is the anchor of the trio. DJ Ry Toast has the golden touch that gives balances to the project along with some elegance and a swagger all in and of itself.

They have been working hard in the studio with 2x Grammy nominated producer King David (Lupe Fiasco, Iration, Cam). Their first single “Whip On Smash” combines Knowaking’s lyrical mastery over a futuristic ska/trap beat. The likely follow up will be “Backpack Song” which is a feel good reggae trip with hip hop vibes that transform over time. There are also a number of other recordings that they are considering including a dance rock song titled "Do That There" and a sing along ballad titled "Out In These Streets."
Before these three artists all met they had been working independently towards their goal of making it in the music industry. Knowaking and MUDLUX have known each other since even before grade school. Their parents both coached them together in Little League and had the commonality of being musicians themselves. (Knowaking's father William “WAK" King, is a founding member of The Commodores). They attended the same high school and were in bands growing up together. They collaborated on shows and there was always a connection but it never clicked the way it did once Ry Toast came in to the picture in 2014. That's when the project started to really take shape. She had been cutting her teeth as a DJ in the Bay Area before moving to LA. She met MUDLUX and Knowaking and the three have been collaborating closely together ever since.

Aloha Radio

Formed in Late 2009, Aloha Radio has rapidly become known for their on stage energy and unique sound echoing Southern California's culture of surfing, originality, and passion. Much like the ocean they have grown up around, their sound is soothing and relaxing, yet at times, a pounding fury. Their music is a wave rolling in from the deep, always evolving and progressing. They blend the unmistakable sound of California's enduring early rock and roll with the modern soul of their lead singer, Lauren Mulderrig...
