The Microblades

San Diego’s The Microblades sound like a time capsule cracked open and rewired—sunbaked harmonies, descriptive lyrics, and guitars that shimmer like heat off pavement. Known for their electrifying live performances, The Microblades have been featured at many of San Diego’s top independent venues such as SOMA San Diego, The Che Cafe, The Casbah, and The Soda Bar. The band started in the grit of the unconventional, turning forgotten spaces like freeway underpasses and alleyways into electric stages. Their vintage throwback sound has echoed through concrete pillars and graffiti walls, drawing crowds that crave something raw and real. Each show feels like a secret rebellion, where music meets the pulse of the street.

Their breakout single Cowboy crowned them with a 2024 San Diego Music Award and wrapped their retro soul in dreamy visuals. Giulietta Randell stands as lead vocalist and guitarist, voice smoky with defiance, threading scenes into lyrics like film stills. Drummer Lauren Deerinck executes her playing like the punctuation in a love letter written in morse code—moody, powerful, exact. Imogen Collis, all quiet fire, seals each track with her dynamic rumble and edge from her bass. As the Microblades have grown into their own, they’ve shared the stage with both rising and established artists such as Kid Sistr, Emei, Blank Space, Rain on Fridays, Couch Dog, Sluttony, We Weren’t Invited, Kook, Silver Bullet, Gingsu, BIG FUN, and Daring Greatly.

Girls Got Nerve

Girls Got Nerve is a 3 piece pop punk rock band consisting of Toula Payan (guitar/vox), Trinity Buck (drums/vox) and Avery Nelson (electric bass) from San Diego. The girls have made their mark at iconic venues like The Casbah and the Che Cafe but play most consistently at house shows in the SDSU area and blowing the roof off in style. Girls Got Nerve is known for their catchy and playful lyrics, high energy live performances, infectious stage presence, and iconic show looks! They are known for their DIY approach with the band's artwork; guitarist Toula spends her time hand making outfits for the band out of thrifted and upcycled materials. All of the merch they sell are thrifted clothing pieces with hand made printed logos on them making each one unique. They love all things animal print, sparkles, and empowering women to have nerve! They write fun and passionate songs about what they love about being girls, staying true to one’s self, and the complexities of being a woman. They recently put out their debut EP called "Girls Got Nerve" in early May 2025 consisting of the first 6 songs they ever wrote together available on all streaming platforms. Having “Nerve” means taking risks to step out of your comfort zone, having confidence to be your authentic self, and not being afraid to speak your mind. Do you GOT NERVE?

Beth and the Baysides

Beth and the bayside’s are a group of 5 indie rockers from sunny San Diego. The band started in 2024, created by Beth Smith (vocals) and Alec Grugel (lead guitar). Originally a two piece, they realized their sound was missing a certain spark.

They soon got the help of their friends Trae Hammerstrom(drums),Malcolm Baum(bass/guitar), Katie Matthewson(bass/vox), and Diego Guardado(drums).

Their multi-instrumentalism and technical talent gave the band what it needed to shine.

With each member, the sound became better and better, allowing them to find their footing and their flare.

The band progressed and so did their reach; eventually leading them to solidify their spot in the San Diego alternative music scene. With charisma and style, Beth and the bayside’s stomp the stage with catchy riffs and magnetic energy.

Sun Jelly

Based out of north county San Diego,

SoCal fuzzy garage benders Sun Jelly is known to bring a high energy performance, whiplashing around each experience in their realm, bouncing in and out of phase from melodic indie groove to blown out fuzz psych punk. Riding the red and tipping meters, Sun Jelly is guaranteed to make some sound.
