    Eli Fola

Eli Fola is a Nigerian-American multidisciplinary sound artist, saxophonist, DJ, and producer renowned for his pioneering live-hybrid set, “Yoruba Tech Soul.” This innovative fusion combines AfroHouse, techno, jazz, and classical music, reflecting Eli’s deep-rooted passion for blending traditional Nigerian sounds with contemporary electronic music. He has released music on notable labels like Mobilee Records, Connected Frontline, and Cacao Records, as well as on his own imprint, Tech Afrique. With a global reach, Eli has toured across over 30 countries and performed at major art cars at Burning Man, solidifying his reputation as a versatile and influential artist.
Eli’s journey into music began with early influences from icons like Osunlade, Jeff Mills, and the legendary Fela Kuti. These artists inspired him to merge the rich, vibrant rhythms of Afrobeats and highlife with modern electronic beats, forming the backbone of his unique sound. This eclectic blend has allowed Eli to carve out a distinct niche in the electronic music scene, celebrated not only for its innovation but also for its authenticity and cultural resonance.
Eli’s work has caught the attention of high-profile figures in the music and art industries, including Grammy-winning artists Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys, who have featured him in their private events and at the No Commission art fair in Miami. He has also shared the stage with major names such as ASAP Rocky, Busta Rhymes, and has performed alongside electronic music icons like Black Coffee, Pablo Fierro, and Audiofly. His versatility extends into film score composition, having worked on projects for Vogue Italia and Free The Works, as well as collaborations with brands like Soho House, Bacardi, ArtNews, and ArtBasel.
In 2016, Eli founded Tech Afrique, an independent label and cultural platform dedicated to promoting Afrofuturist ideas and supporting BIPOC artists. Under his leadership, the platform has gained traction for releasing groundbreaking music and curating events across New York City and Tulum, Mexico, that
showcase the rich multicultural artistry of Afrohouse and spirituality in a contemporary context. Tech Afrique continues to be a hub for innovation, pushing the boundaries of electronic music and highlighting underrepresented voices in the global music scene.
