    La Santa Cecilia exemplifies the modern-day creative hybrid of Latin culture, rock and world music. The group draws inspiration from all over the world, utilizing Pan-American rhythms including cumbia, bossa-nova, rumba, bolero, tango, jazz and klezmer music. Their unique sounds and the experience of their colorful, passionate performances continues to captivate both loyal fans and new listeners. Named after the patron saint of music, La Santa Cecilia is composed of accordionist and requinto player Jose ‘Pepe’ Carlos, bassist Alex Bendaña, percussionist Miguel ‘Oso’ Ramirez, and vocalist ‘La Marisoul.’With a captivating voice that sings about love, loss, and everyday struggles, the band has become the voice of a new bicultural generation in the United States, fully immersed in modern music, but always close to their Latin American influences and Mexican heritage. La Santa Cecilia’s released their debut album, Noche y Citas in 2011. The album was nominated at the Latin Grammy Awards for the single La Negra. El Valor in 2012 was named one of the best albums of the year by NPR’s Alt Latino. In 2013, Treinta Días was released and went on to win the Grammy for Best Latin Rock Album, Alternative or Urban. In 2016, Buenaventura was nominated for a Latin Grammy in Best Pop/Rock Album category and a Grammy in the “Best Latin Urban, Rock or Alternative” category. Their new single will be released this summer and their 7th album will be released in the fall of 2019.

    Meet Gaby Aparicio: Award-winning singer/songwriter and San Diego Music Award nominee. Inspired by her coastal Uruguayan and Italian heritage, Gaby blends cultural sounds into her music, creating a unique blend of pop, Latin, world, reggae, and soul.

    Based in San Diego, California since 2014, Gaby has become a prominent figure in the live music scene, captivating audiences with her signature fusion. She and her band, La Buena Onda, have graced iconic local venues and festivals like Music Box, Adams Avenue Street Fair & Unplugged Festivals, and Chicano Park Day.

    Gaby's musical journey includes notable performances such as singing the national anthem for the NBA's Orlando Magic and showcases at Gibson and Sony Music Studios in New York City. She's also had the privilege of opening for Latin Grammy© winners Monsieur Periné, and Latin Grammy© nominee Mexican folk/reggae artist Caloncho. She was a featured Taylor Guitar player in the February 2020 Wood&Steel publication, as well as at the Taylor Guitar booth at the 2020 NAMM Show. She was also featured as an official QSC Audio endorsed artist in their YouTube TouchMix Sessions in conjunction with the Ursa Polaris Sessions.

    Accolades are not new to Gaby, who has won the Cari Cole's Signature Songwriting Circle Contest twice and the West Coast International Song Contest in 2018. However, her mission remains humble: to inspire through positive vibrations and love.
