    Oasiz

Oasiz, formed in 2022, is North America’s most authentic sounding tribute to ‘90s icons and the kings of Britpop, OASIS.  All the excitement of an Oasis performance is here, including stirring renditions of hits such as “Wonderwall”, “Champagne Supernova”, “Live Forever”, “Morning Glory”, “Supersonic”, and “Don’t Look Back in Anger”, as well as deep cuts and well-loved B-Sides.  It all adds up to a performance that will thrill casual Oasis fans, convert new listeners to fans, and transport Oasis aficionados back to the days when Oasis was the biggest band in the world.

The band’s attention to recreating the Oasis live sound and performance is so accurate that postings of their live videos sometimes get mistaken by internet copyright bots for the original band.  This is due in no small part to lead vocalist … and Manchester, UK native … Liam Wilkes as Liam Gallagher.  And yes, his mother did name him after Liam Gallagher!  His vocals bear an uncanny aural resemblance to his namesakes, and his stage presence creates excitement that recalls the Oasis shows of their classic years.  Oasiz’s lineup playing behind Liam is equally skilled, comprised of veteran heavyweights of the San Diego original and tribute scene: Scott Samuels (guitar/vocals), Derek Gaertner (guitar), Chris Iandolo (bass), and Scott Southwood (drums).
