Kelly McGarry presents

No Kings, Aviator Stash, MDRN HSTRY, Coral Bells & Golden Howl (EP release)

No Kings

No Kings; a four-piece surf-ska band out of San Diego and has been
laying down their boundary blending music since 2011. On any song,
you’ll find traces of first and second wave ska rhythms mixed with
psychedelic surf rock and punk punch. After two independent EP
releases, No Kings signed to Long Beach Records for the 2015 release
Lowlifes & High Rollers, and are slated to have a series of releases
throughout 2019, starting with a four-song EP in February. Surviving on
a steady diet of live show chaos and fun, No Kings has shared the stage
with the likes of Perro Bravo, LAW, The Ziggens, Mike Pinto, Tunnel
Vision, Stranger, Ease Up, DPI, and more.

Aviator Stash

Aviator Stash is an alternative indie band from San Diego with a wide range of influences. The project started in 2014 inside a single bedroom with intention to create catchy melodies and colorful vocal harmonies. The band released their self titled debut album in February 2017 which has been nominated in two categories in the 2018 San Diego Music Awards for best indie/alternative album and Song Of The Year. Their second album, titled Prescribed was released in November of 2018 and has since continued to rapidly grow in streams, sales, and critical acclaim.

MDRN HSTRY

“In a world where Quentin Tarantino and Jim Morrison co-exist, are close friends, and own a surf shop in Southern California, MDRN HSTRY channels the soundtrack to the duo’s pursuit of beach-lifestyle.”
Born in the garages of San Diego, the 6 piece band MDRN HSTRY has created a sound of their own. Surf rock, meets space disco, as lyricist Shea Smith takes listeners on a journey through many different facets of life, love and the pursuit of cruising on the autobahn. Their high energy performance will move you from the mosh pit onto the other side.

Coral Bells

"In the early summer of 2014 Kaley Morlock (vocals, ukulele) and Joshua McCleskey (acoustic guitar), fled the Oklahoma plains to the shores of Imperial Beach, California. After busking the vibrant streets of Ocean Beach, the two convinced long time friend Jimmy Schmitz (mandolin) to relocate. It wasn't long before the three met Boston native, Matt Rogan (vocals, acoustic guitar) who resided down the street. Coral Bells is a collective of friends who gravitated towards one another. As much as their new folk sound conjures a pleasantly misplaced nostalgia, being among them conjures up feelings of belonging and being here now."

Golden Howl

Born from the roots of the Earth, Golden Howl brings songs that capture the essence of life. Golden Howl is a fresh indie folk rock band based out of San Diego. With ear-catching layered harmonies, magnetic on-stage synergy and beautifully crafted songs, they will pull you in and captivate. Formed in early 2016 by founding members Marlo Smith, Shannon O'Shea and Christopher Balcom, and quickly adding Rachel Riba on percussion, and Dimitry Zingerman on guitar, and eventually bringing Jeff Johnson on bass, Golden Howl had all the pieces to plug into the outlet of creativity. With a non-traditional setup and unique instrumentation, you will be left in excitement and curiosity for the next song.
