Jedi Mind Tricks

For more than twenty-two years, the name Jedi Mind Tricks has become synonymous with raw, gritty independent hip-hop. From their debut album, The Psycho-social, in 1996 to their seminal sophomore release, Violent By Design, to their musical expansion on Servants and Heaven, Kings in Hell, JMT has made an indelible impression on the independent music scene while arguably forging its own subgenre of rap. Led by the fiery vocals of controversial frontman, Vinnie Paz (who has also built an auspicious solo career over the last decade), and the enigmatic producer, Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind, the group has sustained a successful career as a result of its consistently, uncompromising rap music.

On June 22nd, the duo drops their ninth studio album, The Bridge and The Abyss, featuring the singles/videos for “San La Muerte” and “Marciano’s Reign.” Speaking on the new album, Vinnie Paz, says, “Each time out we face a challenge of not wanting to make the same record, but at the same time doing what we do, which is make hardbody rap. I try to balance my ignorant raps with songs that are a little more conceptual and personal. I think we found a nice balance on this album.”

JMT’s success can’t be measured in chart positions or platinum plaque counts. Their success is most accurately measured in the passion and respect of their growing legions of hardcore fans who have packed JMT shows around the world from Boston to Bogota to Bucharest. Paz says, “When you see someone with a tattoo of your logo or your album art on their body, that’s a level of dedication that a sales chart can’t possibly capture. We’re blessed to have some of the most dedicated fans in music. We’ve always sort of been music industry pariahs and I think our fans like that we don’t cower to the politics of the business.” JMT’s music embodies the spirit of DIY defiance and their longevity is a testament to their blue-collar work ethic coursing through the bloodlines of their hometown of Philadelphia.

Jedi Mind Tricks “The Bridge and The Abyss” out June 22, 2018.

G-Mo Skee

G-Mo Skee is a 25 year old rapper from Richmond, California. Being crowned the filthiest rapper in the Bay Area, G-Mo Skee has made a reputation for himself by saying wild, disgusting, and sickening rhymes - with impressively hilarious lyrics and visuals. He directs his own music videos and edits them. He has been around since 2010 and his lyrical ability has allowed him to appear on songs with huge artists such as Hopsin, and even one of his own influences, Vinnie Paz. Although G-Mo belongs to a rap collective called The Inf Gang from Richmond California, he was a consistent participant in the popular Teambackpack cyphers, where some of the top lyricist in the underground come together and exchange 16 bar verses in a live setting. G-Mo was the very first MC to win Teambackpack's Online Audition in 2010. Soon he became a veteran in the cypher and to date, he has shared the mic with big names like battle rap's Dizaster and Illmaculate. He released the Got Filth mixtape in 2011, and secured a cult following. In 2012, G-Mo was crowned one of the Top 10 Bay Area Freshman by the KMEL radio station & the Thizzler blog, even after dissing both outlets in a video depicting G-Mo burning DJ Amen alive for not recognizing his talent. That year, he released his second mixtape, Got Filth 2: The Great Adventures of G-Mo Skee, and reached new heights in downloads and plays through his bandcamp, and views on Youtube. He competed in Funk Volume's "Don't Fuck up our Beats Contest" in 2013, placing 3rd out of about 3,500 artist world wide. He headlined his first tour in 2013, the "When G-Mo Attacks Tour" and he accompanied Kung Fu Vampire, Dirtbag Dan, and Wrekonize on the Hunger Pains Tour in 2014. In 2015, G-Mo released The Android Filfteen EP and reached 280,000 views with his highest viewed video to date, Ignant. G-Mo is currently gearing up to release his debut album, My Filthy Spirit Bomb, and he recently signed a deal with Twiztid's Majik Ninja Entertainment.
