San Diego based hard rock band, Door 13 are making a run to capture the attention of Southern California and beyond. 

Their sound is dominated by the high-octane guitar attack of gunslinger Alec Peterson, who weaves a web of harmonic synergy and slams home some heavy metal crunch throughout their recently released single, Notre Dame. 

Vocalist Mercedes Carvajal projects a powerhouse spectrum of high-end soaring licks and a baritone emotional growl that captures the perfect storm for Notre Dame. 

The talented rhythm section consists of Gus “Gusto” Kendrick on bass and new member, Reid Cunningham behind the drum kit. The two marry so well sonically that it is difficult to distinguish the two as a separate unit. Instead, they lay down a back beat which is rock solid, yet open enough to let the guitars and vocals shine unobstructed. 

Together they bring a wide array of influences that mirror a new wave of hard rock bands and reflect the original KNAC sound that reverberated off the stucco walls of apartments in Southern California as hard rock lovers hung out by the pool on hot summer days. The result is a powerful collection of songs, which capture what true rock and roll is all about!
